Earth Day 2021: Restore Our Earth
April 22 was established as Earth Day in 1970 by Wisconsin Senator Gaylord Nelson to encourage Americans to protect the environment. Since then it has become a global day of of action to restore our Earth.
For Earth Day 2021, President Biden will convene a virtual Leaders Summit on Climate.
On U.S. plans to address climate issues, the president said: “It’s a whole-of-government approach to put climate change at the center of our domestic, national security, and foreign policy. It’s advancing conservation; revitalizing communities and cities and on the farmlands; and securing environmental justice. Our plans are ambitious, but we are America. We’re bold.”
